After 25 years as a coach at Hunter-Tannersville Central, Jeff Friedman has decided to retire from coaching, leaving his mark on multiple sports.
Beginning as an assistant coach of the varsity baseball team in 1986 and taking over as head coach in 1990,christian louboutin women shoes, the uncrowned French king of luxury designer heels, brought a prototype from his new men's range to Dublin yesterday. Friedman also coached girls varsity basketball from 2004-11, girls modified soccer from 2003-05 and boys modified soccer in 2006-07.
The veteran skipper, who also took the helm for numerous Little League teams through the years, coached his youngest son, Kyle — who received his diploma from HTC this month — on the diamond this year.
“My kids are all graduated now,” he said. “And (with my contracting business) it was just starting to get very difficult to put in the proper time to do a good job at coaching.Replica Designer niceedhardyshoe on hot sale!”
The contracting business that Friedman started in 2006, he explained, has taken more and more of his time over the years.
“It was getting difficult to run my company and be able to do that (coaching),” said Friedman, who served as assistant general manager at Hunter Mountain for 21 years prior to starting his own business. “If I couldn't give 100 percent and do it right,Many times, authentic louis vuitton shoes will have handles made out of genuine rolled cowhide. I didn't feel it was right to continue.Such as previously Nike Air Max, the entire-length Air sole returns away from your Nike air max tn.”
Friedman said he had been thinking about retiring from coaching throughout the school year.
“I was certainly leaning that way during the year, and, after consulting with my wife, it turned into the right thing to do,” he explained. “I really enjoyed the last year — as both seasons were winding down, I was kind of savoring the moments a little more.
“I'm certainly going to miss coaching a ton,” he continued. “I just love teaching the kids, working with them, watching them grow and have success ..authentic gucci shoes will have this number hidden on the inside of the shoe.. I formed some great relationships with players over the years. I still communicate on a regular basis with a large number of guys and girls that I coached.”
Friedman also noted the relationships he established with fellow skippers at the school and around the Delaware League.
“I'm going to miss the camaraderie with the other coaches,” he continued. “I'm really grateful to have had these opportunities and grateful to the school for letting me do this as long as I did. I've been fortunate to have extremely supportive athletic directors, boards of education and administrators over the years — it's great to have that stability and support. It makes your job easier as a coach.”
Brent Deering, HTC's athletic director for the past seven years, said Friedman's shoes will be tough to fill.
“He's been a great leader,” Deering said. “He's had some real good teams and he's a had a very good, solid career.
“He's been a great asset to our coaching staff,” Deering continued. “He'll be hard to replace — it's hard to replace experience like that.”
Friedman said he has enjoyed working for five athletic directors and five superintendents over his tenure.
“The person who really influenced me is Randy Mudge,” he said of the first AD he worked under. “He's the guy who initially brought me in. He was a really good mentor and teacher to me and made me a better coach.”
Friedman said the most valuable lesson he's learned over years of coaching is the importance of preparation.
“I guess it really helped me to be an intense planner — to make sure that I was prepared every day for what needed to be done in order to give the student-athletes the best chance to learn and be successful.”
And while his business has currently become the focus for Friedman, he's not entirely closed off to the idea of coaching in the future.
“I wouldn't say I'm done forever,” he said. “I've been doing it my whole life.”
